WORKING CONDITIONS Works throughout the building. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS WORK CONTACTS Daily contact with the Executive Chef, Captains and other convention center employees. PHYSICAL EFFORT This position requires stooping and lifting. Substantial standing, walking and lifting. Must be able to lift 30 lbs to the waist. WORKING CONDITIONS Works mainly in the main kitchen however, works throughout the building. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
WORK CONTACTS Daily contact with the Stewarding Supervisor, Executive Chef, and other convention center employees. PHYSICAL EFFORT This position requires stooping and lifting. Substantial standing, walking and pushing and or pulling of equipment. Must be able to lift 25 lbs to the waist. WORKING CONDITIONS Works throughout the building. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS WORK CONTACTS PHYSICAL EFFORT Daily contact with the Food & Beverage Manager, supervisors, and other convention center employees. Physical Effort This position requires stooping and lifting. Substantial walking and lifting of thirty pounds to the shoulder. Working Conditions Works throughout the building. Minimum Requirements
· Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility. · Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks. · Servesaf certified · Attention to detail and service oriented. · All applicants must be able to pass credit and criminal background check. · Must be able to calculate any kind of monetary transaction. Operations JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for patrolling all areas of property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and contract labor while on premises; securing property during move in/out trade shows, conventions or events by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Secures property. · Locks and unlocks facility doors. · Conducts routine property walks. · Responds to emergency situations. · Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees. · Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises. · Appropriately deals with "unruly" people. · Works independently, and judges and assesses situations for immediate response. · All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Participate in the physical set-up and tear-down of equipment and furniture for events and assist in physical cleaning, sweeping and scrubbing of facility as required by operational standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepares facility for show including setting chairs, stages, tables and counters as assigned. ·Cleans interior and exterior glass. ·Uses equipment as required upon completion of training in safe manner and as directed by operational standards. ·Disposes of all waste, including bulk trash removal from hall and participates in recycling program as required. ·All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Other Part-time Opportunities QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent. Customer service experience in dealing with the public on ticket sales required.
Serve as ticket taker and/or usher distributing programs and providing information to assist visitors and patrons. Assist with last minute pre-event needs, such as setting-up, decorating, finding materials, etc. Provide special accommodations for wheelchairs and other physically handicapped patrons, senior citizens, students and groups. Take tickets at the entrance of Shreveport Convention Center. Monitor door entrances and exits and all passenger and freight elevators, keeping unauthorized persons out of restricted areas. Handle all needs for guests with disabilities including ticketing, entrance/exiting, and overall ADA compliance. Patrol and maintain Front of House area of the Shreveport Convention Center, ensuring that all Front of House areas are clean, safe, and secure. Report or log all incidents and related activities. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated knowledge of guest services. Some knowledge of radio communication equipment is preferred. Employee must be clean and neat in appearance. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for those with disabilities. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED and one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience dealing with public. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer relations, communications and problem solving. Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in oral and written form. Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. WORKING CONDITIONS Physical requirements include the ability to communicate verbally and to be able to move around facility. Position requires step climbing, walking; indoor and outdoor working conditions; irregular hours. Ability to speak and understand English. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
